Waste Tank Modification
We bought a small Fiamma 23L waste tank to empty our electro magic toilet
which when right full holds 23.5L, so empty it before it is full, but with the
screw top there was no way to connect the normal waste hose from the caravan.
My answer to this was to cut off the screw cap and fit a 3" bayonet flange
(Serada Pt # SA938A) & a bayonet end cap (Serada Pt # SA2427). Photos below
show how I did this
Trimming off screw neck with hacksaw blade.
Cut needs to be tidied up with a sharp Stanley knife and trimmed
inside for bayonet flange to fit.
Drill holes using the Bayonet flange as a template.
Grind flats on 2 washers to allow for curve on the edge of the tank
and fit these on the inside of the tank.
Finished tank.
Flange bolted on with stainless Bolts and silicone sealer used between tank and
flange.
A spare angled waste adaptor (Serada Pt # SA694) makes for easy use at the dump
station.
