Hose Storage

Somewhere to store the Waste hose was the next item to sort out.

A 2 metre length of 110mm sewer pipe, 2 screw cap ends, 2 push on caps & 2 saddle clips soon sorted this out.
The pipe was cut at 900mm and the 2 push end caps bolted & glued together to form a water proof barrier between the waste hose side and the fresh water hose side. This was all glued and small PK screws used for extra strength. The straight end of the waste hose dump connector had too have some of the lugs ground down to fit in the pipe.

The screw end for the waste pipe side I removed the lip that stops the pipe from sliding right trough the screw end cap and only fitted the end half way on. This allowed more room for the bend on the end of the waste hose.

This has now been in place since late 2007 and as the photo shows we do travel on gravel roads at times  so mud flaps were also fitted.

After 18mths for some reason the screw cap decided it no longer wanted to stay on and disappeared on the road somewhere, so I have bolted a larger lead sinker to the cap and hopefully gravity will stop this from happening again.
